Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) is the second and again a strong delivery by director Zoya Akhtar. It is refreshing to see the new breed trying their hand at a underexploited genre (‘road movie’) and come up with something that is contemporary and beautiful (content and on your eyes).

A tad bit too long at 2.5 hours, the movie could have done away with the ‘festival’ scene and the whole estranged father angle.

Farhan has the best lines, Abhay is more comfortable while Hritik is a bit too stiff. Katrina is getting better and Kalki seems to be having fun after all her darker roles.

This is a must see with friends and you will enjoy it not withstanding the length or the pace of the movie. The music too is engaging.

The result of a decade-long process by director Jim Whitaker, the story of Rebirth follows the nearly ten-year transformation of five people whose lives were forever altered on September 11, 2001 — and simultaneously tracks via multi-camera time-lapse photography the minute-by-minute evolution of the space where the Twin Towers once rose.

Project Rebirth, Inc. is a U.S. non-profit organization created to support victims and early responders to catastrophic events through documentary footage recording the rebuilding at the site of World Trade Center following the September 11 attacks and seven years in the lives of people directly affected by the event. On January 23, 2011, Project Rebirth released the documentary Rebirth at the Sundance Film Festival. Although nine people were followed, the finished film focuses on the lives of five individuals.

A heavy weight casting. Looks like an updated & more ominous version of the 1995  movie Outbreak. An action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.

The new claymation movie from the makers of Wallace & Gromit. Looks seriously funny!

So we finally have the first teaser of the much publicised and (over) hyped Ra.One, released today and hopefully a longer version to be released during the India v/s Australia cricket match on Thursday, 24 March ’11. I should confess before I go ahead that I am NOT a Shah Rukh fan and to top it, have very bad intuition about Ra.One. The trailer re-confirms my doubt about the movie.

Why am I disappointed with this teaser,

1) Looks like a medium budget B-grade movie (c’mon after Dhoom2, Krissh, this looks like a poor cousin)

2) Kareena Kapoor back to playing the helpless shrieking bimbo

3) A customary (may be hyperactive dumb) kid too is in the film (cliche!)

4) The teaser producer should be shot, a shoddy job!

5) Have a very bad feeling that this will be a copy of Robot (notice the train scene and the robots dancing)

Grrenberg is a funny, touching and poignant story of two souls adrift in Los Angeles, trying to forge a connection. Roger Greenberg (Ben Stiller), single and in midst of his mid-life crisis, comes from NY to LA and house sits for his brother. Florence (Greta Gerwig) his brother’s personal assistant , an aspiring singer and also something of a lost soul. Despite his best attempts not to be drawn in, Greenberg and Florence manage to forge a connection, and Greenberg realizes he may at last have found a reason to be happy.

Greenberg is a 2010 American comedy film written and directed by Noah Baumbach. The film stars Ben Stiller, Greta Gerwig, Rhys Ifans and Jennifer Jason Leigh. It was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival.

The story (unless who have been staying under a rock) now an open secret is very simple good vs bad movie, which we have seen many times before. The bad (private army from earth) wants a mineral (unobtanium) present on this faraway planet ‘Pandora’, but the natives of the land ‘Navi’ are not keen to have their land disturbed/destroyed for this. The Navi’s believe in the balance of energy and see this mining activity disturbing this balance of energy. The army send in an ‘Avatar’ a human in a Navi body to learn the Navi peoples secrets and persuade them to leave their abode under which lies the richest source of unobtanium. Do the army get their mineral source? How the Navi’s save their land? forms the crux of the story.

The CGI is fabulous and the CGI characters look alive. The 3D is not the ‘in your face’ kind but one that makes you feel like a invisible soul hanging on the set of the movie and seeing everything firsthand.

Its an experience to be seen and felt IN a 3D theatre. So get yourself a ticket and experience ‘Avatar’

Here Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty are good friends. Both are broke and both get ultimatum from their girlfriends to get rich, else they will be married off to someone else who is rich. Add to this, Paresh Rawal, a shrewd businessman whom wants his son (Chunky Pandey) to marry one of the rich girls to get a big sum as dowry to help pay off his debtors.

The broke blokes hatch a kidnap plan to reach to their goal of becoming rich. They get the hostage and hole up in a hotel. At the same hotel, Paresh has his son’s wedding with one of the rich girls. And then as all Priyadarshan comedies go – hell breaks loose and everything goes for a toss ( equals to lot of slap stick comedy).
